Educator.

Learning is holistic. It's a vulnerable process of meaning-making that involves constantly reorganizing and building upon prior knowledges as they converge with new and diverse experiences.

Thus, Dr. Lee strives to humanize this process by creating learning communities that foster belonging among her students and encourage them to take risks. This foundation allows her to facilitate transformative learning experiences that encourage students' development of antiracist, justice-oriented perspectives on education.

To this end, Dr. Lee's implements inquiry-based strategies in her

instruction to stimulate critical reflection and collaboration among her students. In her experience as an educator, this authentic approach to learning increases students' motivation to learn, deepens their engagement in the learning process, and emboldens them to apply their learning to their personal and professional lives.

In her capacity as an educator, Dr. Lee has taught high school English, coached preservice and in-service teachers, instructed undergraduate- and graduate-level courses, and mentored undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students. She primarily teaches courses related to equity and justice in education, including Urban Education, Educating Teachers, Urban Educational Reform, History and Psychology of Racism, Racial Identity Development, and Critical Issues and Perspectives in Urban Education.
